Keyboard, mouse and touch

Click inside the player, then use Space or the Up arrow for the main action. A mouse click or screen tap provides the same basic input. In the opening cube sections, this is your jump. Start with one input method and keep it consistent while learning a level. Switching between the mouse and keyboard can make your timing harder to compare.

Tap and hold are different

A short press and a sustained press can behave differently as the game changes modes. Learn a new mode by making small inputs before trying to repeat a pattern from a cube section. Watch the entry into a portal and the first hazard after it. The action you need immediately after a transition may differ from the action just before it.

Pause and refocus

Escape opens the in-game pause controls during a level. The site’s Reload button restarts the whole player and can discard the current attempt; use the in-game pause controls for a short break. After interacting with the site navigation or fullscreen toolbar, click the game again before attempting the next jump.

Make the screen comfortable

Fullscreen expands the player without leaving this site. Escape can exit fullscreen in your browser, so use the on-screen pause controls when the two actions overlap. On smaller screens, rotate to landscape and keep your finger clear of the approaching obstacles. Touch behavior and fullscreen support vary by browser.

Learn with one change at a time

If you consistently hit the same obstacle, move the input slightly earlier or later. Keep your speed settings and input device consistent across retries. Extra settings such as hitbox display can help explain a collision, but they do not guarantee that every unfinished object in this beta behaves as expected.
